Isaacs Ridge repeater / internet update
Good afternoon all, a quick note to update on the repeaters at Isaacs Ridge. Our internet connection at site (previously provided by Signal Co) was lost when the company closed up shop. We have secured a replacement internet connection with YLess4U which we hope will be connected this week. This will allow us to reconnect the DMR, Dstar and IRLP repeaters to the internet again and hopefully restore full functionality to them.
Yesterday Carl VK1KCM and Phil VK1PL (with off site assistance from Matt VK1MH) made a visit to the Isaacs Ridge site to reprogramme the Dstar repeater callsign and prepare the networking setup for the new internet connection.
Once the internet connection is back online, we should have the following repeaters running at Isaacs (the DMR and Dstar are currently running in local RF only mode):
* 70cm DMR repeater (no change)
* 2m Dstar repeater (note that the callsign has been changed to VK1RBM)
* 70cm Analogue/ IRLP repeater (no change)
* 2m Analogue repeater – note new frequencies as previously advised – no additional changes made.
For all details on repeaters at site, please refer to the details as per the repeater page on the club website (https://www.crarc.org.au/services/repeaters/ – noting that updates to guides/programming plus references to the old callsign still need to be finalised).
