Andy (VK2OGR) who did a presentation on JORN earlier this year, will doing a Presentation on Batteries. This subject is of interest to Amateurs who regularly use batteries for portable work, or really any device (radio or not) that uses batteries. As you know Andy has a safety orientation.

Topics will include

• Basic galvanic cell and battery composition;
• How a Lithium cells can go wrong;
• What you can do if it happens;
• Examples of what went wrong;
• and possibly, if time allows will discuss the next “big thing” – Sodium Cells

On the 4th Wednesday of each month, CRARC holds a General Meeting for members and visitors.

Doors open at 6:30pm for a start shortly thereafter.The main part of the meeting will be a presentation and it’s also an opportunity for local Amateurs to get to know each other. 

And as usual, tea/coffee and biscuits will be available, and for those that are interested, pizza will be available at $5.00 a small plate.
